When is the best time to visit Niagara Falls?

Determining the best time of year to visit depends on what you and your family want to see and achieve.

The park also offers an elevator ride that descends behind the waterfalls. On the Canadian side, visitors can access observation decks at the foot of the Horseshoe Falls. Tourists on the American side of Niagara Falls are taken through a series of walkways that bring them within feet of the Bridal Veil Falls.

Events

Every evening, a special light show enhances the Niagara Falls experience. The event was first held in 1925. Special occasions and holidays, including St. Patrick’s Day and the 4th of July, are marked with custom colors during the nightly illumination. Check the schedule here.

Wildlife

The park is considered an important area for birds. Throughout the year, countless bird species, such as bald eagles, ducks, and geese, fly in from different parts of North America.
